Great Bad Movies: Cloak & Dagger

So I was watching HBO Family today, and I realized I needed to make one of my passions a regular thing here. And that would be "great bad movies." There's not much it takes to be a great bad movie. But they tend to be either a) made in the 1980's, b) be based on sci-fi, c) take themselves too seriously, and/or d) be cheesy, yet still watchable ( Read more... )

After reading your review, I feel slightly guilty for liking the Atari "SuperSystem" so much. I've been playing a lot of Robotron with dual-joystick control lately.

As for other great bad movies, you could do a review of "House" (if you don't have this or haven't seen it, we could let you borrow a copy of it) or "They Live".

"House II", on the other hand, is just plain BAD. I can't figure out why Bill Maher.

Oops, forgot to finish my Bill Maher joke: I don't know why he agreed to be part of "House II". The plot goes NOWHERE and the actors are typical 80's youngsters who just want to party and dance to the newest electronic-beat-enhanced pop star-wanna-be's song.

Thanks for the help yesterday with the jukebox! We have filled it up, but more 45's are on the way to replace some of the weak ones. Hope you're not too sore from moving the machine. I predict your next post will be about either your sister's wedding, or reminiscing about student-written elementary school newspapers / comic books. One of those topics is more important than the other! ;)

Oh, and from my hard work today (unloading a truck full of appliances), I believe I have earned the right to purchase a new game for my Atari. So I'll probably be showing you that some time soon.

His name is Snidely Whiplash, you dunderpate.

That other guy suggests that there's something wrong with Robotron, which means there's something wrong with him.

You don't know him too well, then. He treasures his working 2600 and 5200. I remember playing Escape From Fractalus at his place last time I was there. That game was the shiz-nice.

I fear the spies got to him for talking about this movie. It's been almost three months now since we've heard from him!

Yeah, I've been lazy, and not much has been going on to comment on lately. Probably should've posted about my sis's wedding, but I get sidetracked by shiny things. And now my computer seems to have died, so it's a tad hard to update lately...
