You all are being quite thoughtful lately.  I have a question for you all, as well.

If you knew when you were going to die, and you knew there was no escape, how would you react?

Personally I would not be too stressed with it... discontent, but showing signs of stress or anger would upset those close to me.

I would try to stay happy... I don't like the thought of dying, but being sad wont change anything... so better to enjoy what time I have left.

Now, for a harder question... what if you were leaving someone behind?

I think I would be okay with it too... I'd just make sure I was at peace with God, and live life one day at a time until there was no more. ... I suppose it wouldn't be too different from what I do now, honestly.

I hope you're doing well, Seimei.

I'm doing quite well. Just wanted to throw out a question for thought since it seems to be the latest trend.

I'm glad to hear that, heh. It was definitely a good question; I've actually thought about it before, but I've never shared, so it was good to write it down.

Words are powerful. And though spoken is moreso than written, it's still incredibly empowering to a sentiment to place it on paper.

And what if someone precious to you will die in your stead if you don't?

I'd figure out a way to save us both!

Memento Mori. If you look at it, even in everyday life we live with death, to that extent.

Not particularly, just realistic.

Would you consider the impact it has on those you hold dear?

Diagnosed with a terminal illness and knowing the day your plug would be pulled, having a future reading, et cetera. I read something like that in a novel today and I personally thought the character's reaction was very unrealistic. I was wondering what other people might think.

Then given the circumstances of the novel...

What if you were sentenced to death, with the stakes of your friends or family taking your place if you attempted to escape?
