well it's 2 weeks later, we're home, both fighting colds we picked up on the plane. The weather here is really wet and cool, certainly nothing close to what we left in NZ. Well, this is it. No more sleeps. We will be repacking our bags, again, for the last time this morning. We leave Hamilton at 2 pm, so about 5 pm victoria time on Sunday. I don't know if we can express the awe and amazement that we felt when we were here today. It really was a great time. The cave we were in, was one of 300 that have been explored. Wai means water and Tomo means hole, so literally it means water hole. There's a spot in the cave that the is about 10' wide that goes down over 50' to the river. We have ( Read more... )

We are staying at Cheryl's brothers place in Matua, a suburb of Tauranga.The house itself leaves us breathless. Last evening we had a wind storm, that did break some huge limbs off trees, and i saw some fences down as well. I was out walking, into the wind, and some of the winds actually stopped me in my tracks. It was really windy! And then the rains came, but only for a couple of hours ( Read more... )
