I have been über busy at work lately. Just tons of stuff all at once. And Paula (the other person in my department) was gone for several days. Her husband’s grandmother (she’s 94!) is dying and they keep thinking that “today is the day.” So she’s been visiting in a town about 2.5 hours away for about half the week. "...one of the options is to have a procedure where they numb my eyes and then scrape the existing cells off completely."

Ok, that sentence makes me want to vomit.

I had a "muscle re-resection", which basically means that the had to go in and cut two of the muscles behind my eye and reattach them so it was tighter. Which means that my eyes will not only point in the same direction now, but hopefully I will no longer see double and hopefully I will gain some of my vision in that eye back. Because it didn't point in the same direction my brain was slowly "turning off" that eye, and quite honestly I didn't really use that eye to see.

I know that sounds fucked up, but I'm so used to using my left eye only and I'm so used to seeing double it will be weird to have proper vision, if I ever get it.
