Man, I am so tired tonight. I just really want to go to bed, but I have so much Cassidy work to do. Sigh. Will I ever catch up on my sleep? Where do the hours go?

Well, $950 later, our dog is still alive. And that’s a very good thing, despite the cost. Still, the cancer will take its toll soon. The vet also thinks it’s in her shoulder bone. The heart medication brought her heart back into the right rhythm, which helped her circulation which helped with the sluggishness. She’s still throwing up occasionally. ( Read more... )

Our girl’s not doing well. Still listless and not herself. She can hardly stand up. We’ll wait a day or two to see if the medication works on her heart rhythm. Then we’ll have to make the decision. Our dog isn’t doing well. She was fine all weekend, but she didn’t eat yesterday (which has NEVER happened with her) and when I got home from work about 8 p.m. she was lethargic and zoned out. Ian's service is Tuesday. I can't go. I have a big event at work (retirement party), which I organize, at 5 p.m. (and I have to be there in the afternoon to make sure everything is getting done). Ian made the Yahoo news page. Too bad it was for his death. But a nice tribute to someone who was always behind the scenes, never in front. I guess it's nice to know that people other than his friends think he's worthy of recognition. There was also a big piece in the LA Times. They should have interviewed him BEFORE he died. My friend Ian died last night. He was 57. He had horrible cancer. He was doing OK and then a few weeks ago, the treatment stopped working. I can't even begin to describe what an amazing man he was. Not having my ring is weird. I wore it on my left index finger and had a habit of rubbing it with my thumb. It feels weird without it. I'm still bummed. I lost my claddagh ring from Ireland. I'm so bummed. I noticed it was gone this morning in the shower, so my only guess is that it slipped off when I was washing my hair and I didn't hear it hit the floor or see it.
