I won't bash you..I think what you wrote was very heartfelt. The Pope WAS a great man, though he had his faults, and he shall be missed. I do think it'd time, however, for the church to elect a somewhat more liberal pope so that some of the archaic, man-made rules can be changed-and who will get to the bottom of the child abuse.

well in my opinion in order to stop the abuse is to let the clergy marry,that rule was made by a pope in the 14 or 15 hundreds,so it aint like in the bible or anything and i doubt god would have a problem with it.

Like I said, they really need to change some of the manmade rules-like no premarital sex, no birth control, priests must be celibate, women aren't allowed to become priests. I think those sorts of rules hurt the church more than it helps. Those things have nothing to do with being a good person and helping those who are in need. Jesus was a liberal, after all :D

Goob might have more insight, as he was actually raised Catholic.

if one could consider giving many people faith in something a good deed, then that would be one. idk, it was a for-instance thing... personally, im rather immune to the whole "spiritual leader" thing...

yeah its just that there are alot of people who bash the guy for 1 or 2 things but fail to look at the positive.

when i mean reborn i mean just you know personality wise,i'm no jesus freak but i am a believer.
