Xehanort was the real name of the guy and Xemnas is the Nobody version.
Sue me; I haven’t played the game in forever and the scene where Ansem calls him Xehanort as a Nobody was in my head.

Mikey: My doctor told me it was okay to keep sporking as long I don’t touch the knife. He told me he needs special tools to remove it and I’ll need to see him tomorrow.
