HAHAHA, it was totally unnecessary to protect 1776 that much though I totally love your father for that.

One time, exactly one time, I treated a borrowed book with less than the ideal amount of respect - not taking great care with the binding, bringing it to school in my backpack - and when I returned it to my friend about a month later he was extremely disappointed at the shape I'd left it in because he prided himself on caring for his things.

The way my dad packed it was definitely a reaction to how much I'd impressed on him that I didn't want anything to happen to it in transit....although I think he could've probably stopped after one or two layers. ;)
