Why is it that the day I'm supposed to be fasting is the day I'm starving???

Bad brain, no cookie. No matter how much you whine.

This is why I make it a point to have a 'crisis of faith' every Ash Wednesday and frequently throughout lent...

So you're traditional...as long as you like the traditions?

Psh, I was jokinnnnnnnng.

I went to church this morning like a good girl and then wore ashes on my forehead like an asshole all day. However, instead of giving something up for lent (as I find that rather unproductive and useless) I've decided to do one nice thing for someone every day. Or rather...I suppose you can look at it as giving up being mean. Or something. POINT IS. I don't have to deal with my usual shakes from caffeine withdrawal.

Yeah, I was tooooooo. Hence tongue sticking out.

That's a good bit better'n I'm doing. Didn't make it to church today, and I haven't quite decided what I'm gonna focus on for Lent. But I hear ya about giving up, I'm thinking I'll focus on doing something more productively rather than depriving myself.

The point of fasting is to make yourself suffer. And I think it's your stomach more than your brain that's crying out for a cookie.

Hope you're still alive when you get this.
