I do joke but I would like to think I have some humanity and goodness in me to actually stop and help. He hit a pot hole and fell off his bike quite heavily.

I may laugh about committing violence and murder etc. but it is just that...a joke.

Unfortunately, that seems to be the general development. Mum helped a cyclist in a similar situation this summer, only he was unconscious and probably had a heart attack while driving.

This certainly earns you a karma point. Mum's 'patient' called her some weeks ago to update her. He is doing fine and is so grateful and told her if she'd get to be in the area again, he would love her to come over for coffee.

Wish more people would do things like that for each other. What does it hurt me to stop to check if he's okay?

Good on your mum and it's lovely the guy was so thankful.

I can understand people are wary of scams, but when the guy obviously falls off his bike and is lying on the road it appears pretty genuine. Guys drove past and it took me, a female, to stop.

It was daytime and a busy road so I felt pretty safe. He obviously fell.

I really despair sometimes.

It's sadly amazing how people can be sometimes *shakes head*

I suppose that's why I love every time I see or read something about the good ones in this world (like you?) who do the right thing :)

I don't think it's such an amazing or difficult thing to do.
