I have already beta'd for several authors whose work I completely admire and respect. Feel free to message me if I can be of

You and me both! In fact, JUST moments ago I sent altfic a message using almost those EXACT same words.
"I adore that image... it is intelligent, caring and simply beautiful."
Thanks for noticing and that is why I had asked her permission a while back to use it with this particular post.
:-D
Your icon of Teryl and Amanda is among my other favourite images for second place! (A Little Comfort will always be #1 image for me.)

~!hee-hee!~ I thought the typo in the first message was intentional! "Very clever" , I thought to myself! A great way to make a point to a 'beta' reader!
Don't worry about sending stuff with typos... they sneak by sometimes!
Anyway, I'd be honoured if you would like to me to beta some of your fiction. I think you know from my previous comments how much I enjoy your writing!
ps: I do switch over to American spellings for American stories. ie: honour= (Canadian/British) - honor= (American) :-)

I'd be happy to help you out with the beta 'thing' in any way you would like. ... even if you are just trying out an idea for a fic.
Glad you noticed PRP's image! It is something special!

Mind you, I'm just getting started with writing, the SJFicAThon Dhampir ran was my first finished fic. And that one was un-betaed. So, for those like me just entering the world of writing, how does this work, exactly?

I am so glad you did submit your first finished fic to the SJFicAThon. Pat on the back!!!
Feel free to 'ask away' if you have more questions!

I can't tell you how many people helped me this past year. I am slowly getting the 'hang' of it.

I would be asking you to check for 'interestingness' and 'failure to get to the point' (pacing) mostly.
