Been out of touch a lot lately.  Major computer issues and so I don't get online as often but am trying to fix it but it's tough because I know how to use a computer but not how to fix it when things go wrong!

Today is Memorial Day, the day we recognize the ultimate sacrifice our military personnel have given.  If you have the day off, enjoy it responsibly.  Don't drink and drive.  And please take a moment to remember those who were lost in battle and those veterans that made it home only to succumb later in life.  If you know a survivor of the horrors ( Read more... )

Well, it's official.  SyFy has opted to cancel the only show on their network worth watching.  Sanctuary is gone after 4 seasons.  I am saddened and pissed but not surprised since SyFy is determined to get rid of everything that could possibly remind them of what made their network in the first place.  I really feel for Amanda Tapping who put her ( Read more... )

Last week it was Donna Summer, now Robin Gibb, age 62, has passed.  Best known for being one-third of the BeeGee's, he had been in poor health for quite some time.  Cancer and intestinal issues finally won but his music will go on.  Barry is all that's left now and my thoughts go out to him and the remainder of his family as well as Robin's wife ( Read more... )

LaDonna Adrian Gaines, better known as Donna Summer, age 63, has lost her battle with cancer.  The Empress of Disco (she said she'd been the queen long enough that she ought to be an empress by now) has been silenced forever but her music and that amazing voice will live on.  I was 10/11 years old when she hit big and to this day, I am a huge fan ( Read more... )

I already knew 'The Walking Dead' had been picked up for a third season but official word came down yesterday that my other favorite show, 'Once Upon a Time' has been renewed.  It was a no-brainer for ABC as it was the top new show of the year and the top show of its genre.  Now, if we could only get word on 'Sanctuary'.  The interview with Amanda ( Read more... )

After a lackluster first four games of the series, the Flyers showed a little life for two periods last night, only to give up in the third.  Their playoffs are over and, with the way they played, they deserve to hit the golf courses (or go wherever they go during the offseason ( Read more... )

The Flyers have their backs against the wall, having fallen to 1-3 in the semi's against the Devils.  Outplayed, outskated, outdefended, outshot and so many other things they have fallen short on.  Poor coaching and execution are the problems.  Laviolette doesn't seem to have properly prepared his team for this series and none of the players ( ( Read more... )
