On the website, two of my prompts have gotten a bit mixed up. It's not a big deal if it's too late to fix, but I thought I'd mention it just in case:
Life On Mars (2008), Vic Tyler/Sam Tyler, fascination, betrayal, despair, manipulation got added under the 2006/UK version, and Resident Evil, Albert Wesker/Chris Redfield, amnesia, change, walls landed under "all media types" instead of just the games (I haven't seen any of the movies, meep).
The Life on Mars problem was my mistake, so sorry about that. The second one though was actually because you didn't specify the specific fandom in your prompt, so when that happens, all we can do when sorting is go for the broadest option. Anyway, I've fixed them both now, so hopefully you'll get someone tempted by at least one of the prompts!
Yeah, my bad -- I have a tendency to repress the majority of video games turned movies, so I wasn't thinking about those at all. And I should've written (USA) instead of just the year, honestly. Thank you so much for fixing it!
Here's to hoping! If not, at least I'm tempted by a looot of prompts ;D
Not sure if this was a mistake or deliberate, but on the Fullmetal Alchemist section, the prompt for Mustang/Hughes is two separate prompts merged into one. Was that done on purpose to save space, or is it an accidental merging? Just wondering, either way works.
I'm not sure I'm quite with you. There are 13 prompts for that pairing, ie 13 single words, all on the same line to save space. Have some prompts been assigned to the wrong pairing or something? I'm happy to fix any problems, I'm just not sure what to fix!
No, nothing's wrong. This is just my first time posting to a battle, and I was looking to make sure I had formatted my prompts correctly, and was a bit surprised to find all the seperate prompts for that pairing condensed to one line. Makes perfect sense to do so once I think about it, I just wasn't expecting it for some reason. Again, no problem with how it finally wound up.
Just for future battles, I need to remember that putting 'The' in front of a fandom title can separate out my prompts from the rest of that fandom's prompts. The system considers 'The Dragonriders of Pern' to be a seperate entity from 'Dragonriders of Pern', and sorts accordingly. I listed the former as the title, and it got put in a different section from the latter. Probably too late to fix it at this point, I suspect. :/ Just have to remember to watch that in the future.
There might be a dozen different people prompting for popular pairings, and as each prompt is just a single word, we collect them all together for practical reasons. That way, people can combine words if they want, or just pick one - however they want to do it! Anyway, glad it all makes sense now!
When it comes to fandoms that start with 'The', the system is that I go through all the fandoms and add the 'The' in, fix spellings etc. Unfortunately, even going through them three times, I still manage to miss some, but I've fixed Dragonriders of Pern now and put those prompts under The Dragonriders of Pern. But yes, it definitely helps a LOT if everyone uses the full title.
I don't mean to create any stress but since I'm not sure it's intentional I'd like to point out that the site listing the fills has a gap between DW page 4 and 7.
Yes, I know about that - different people are coding various pages, so a couple are missing for now. There's a note at the top of the page to stop authors/artists worrying: [Last updated 27th January 2013: Dreamwidth Pages 1 to 4, 7 to 11, and Livejournal Pages 1, 3, 4 and 5.]
No worries! I'm just getting the end of page 5 coded now, as the last three entries are missing from that (they weren't there when I went to bed last night).
ETA: Just added a couple of notes in the body of the page to say those pages are coming soon, as the note at the top is easily missed.
Just a heads up, the links to the fills on Livejournal Page 3 here are borked. They all have "http://www.dreamwidth.org/preview/" in front of the LJ comment link, which takes me to a DW "page not found" error. I know keeping track of everything is a huge amount of work so no worries, just thought I'd mention it.
Eeek, thanks so much for spotting that! Crazily enough, that's all the fault of curly inverted commas that I didn't notice/strip from the coding! All fixed now, hopefully - I'll just go and check the other pages while I'm at it.
