ahahahahahah! i can always count on you and your positivity. ironically enough, i said the same thing earlier today. cyclops was worthless (or rather, the guy who played him) in all of the movies.

love the new userpic.

Yeah, I cheered when he bit it. That was about the only reaction the movie got out of me.

Yeah, I look hot in that pic.

i was let down as well, but i was let down by the first one. I still liked them both though. I was happy my fave character finally made an appearance--angel, i was dissapointed he didn't do anything, and was a pussy. i actually liked beast--thought frazier was wonderful. the plot did jump around to too many things, almost like they were making up the script as they went, digging parts out of comics new and old. action sequences, yeah, i'd like a little more, but what i saw i loved--especially hot female mutants fighting in skin tights...grrrr. i would have liked to see wolverine and jean blow up together like in New X-men (i think it was). her little inner struggle just didn't play out too well for me. and there's probably a million other things i could say, becuase i'm a dork, but i'm tired of typing.

i was also dissapointed that the copy i downloaded didn't have the scene after the credits.

it's not that i hated beast, it's just that...well, what the hell did he do? nothing. his character had very little development. and whoever did his make-up/costume should go back to working at disney's enchanted kingdom. he looked lame.

I liked it. Not nearly as much as II, but twice as much as the original. I agree with you in that it needed longer of cooler action sequences, but what in the name of fuck are you and Roob talking about with the plot. It seemed simple enough to me.

1. They can create a "cure" using Leech.
2. Most mutants aren't too into the idea, Magneto wants war.
3. Pheonix is fucking crazy

There ya go. That was the whole plot, what is complicated about that? Try doing that with a movie like "Lock, Stock & Two Smoking Barrels."

Also, I thought the whole "issue" with the cure was AWESOME! It's like Abortion or Gene Therapy or any social issues that we face today, set in a world with mutants, and it brought an added level of reality to the series.

And... I liked Beast, and I liked Juggernaut, I liked the many mutant and human casualties, and Ben Foster rules, even if he doesn't rock wings very well.

P.S. Have you rocked the Da Vinci Code?

no. those aren't the only 3 things that happened. professor X was killed and therefore we were dealing with what would happen to the school as well as the structure of the x-men fam. what the hell happened to scott? i mean, we were led to believe that pheonix killed him...but still, that was a crappy loose end. they introduced too many new characters without giving them any real role. nightcrawler was unbeatable. the guy who played him ruled, his make-up ruled, his part ruled. beast can suck my left nut. why is everyone saying that they liked him? what exactly did he do in the movie? nothing. and his costume was crap. kitty-something-or-other made me throw up in my mouth. ...though i will admit that i liked juggernaut as well. good acting, good make-up ( ... )

don't underestimate my "in-theatre experience". i know x isn't dead. i saw that last scene. BUT during the movie that's what we were dealing with: the prof kicked it.

with nightcrawler i know not of what you speak. explain his role in the comic.

yes, beast "looked" like his character in the comic, BUT it wasn't real. he looked like he was a member of "x-men on ice" or something like that.

...all in all, let's agree to disagree.

i haven't seen either of the other movies that you're talking about. but i REALLY want to see 'thank you for smoking'.

as for davinci...good. the book is way too long for me to read before i go see the movie, if i have a hope at all to see the movie while it's still in the theatre.

did you see "transamerica" yet? i'm really pushing this one. also, have you read any david sedaris? or michael chabon? daryl, i'm not joking around here...you NEED to read 'the amazing adventures of kavalier and clay. do it. you won't be let down. i'll send you a copy if that's what it takes.

I liked the movie, tubbs. It wasn't better than the second but definately better than the first. And i expected as much. a sequel can be awesome or fucking suck...but go beyond that...and you'll end up with a very old Sylvester Stallone yelling at statues in Pennsylvania (yeah whatever, 3 & 4 are hot ( ... )
