2004 / 2010
Mum's birthday is this Friday, April 30. I realised last night that her birthday was a Friday the year she died (2004). I had travelled to Warragul to see her. We had pizza for dinner. She was so sick with the chemo. I said to her that I hoped to see her next time after she'd had a week off from the chemo and that she might be feeling better ( Read more... ) -

Home "alone" & election comments
It's been an interesting evening. The family is looking after Steve's parents' place while they are overseas for a week or so and it is Steve's turn tonight. So... Amelia and I have been home 'alone'. I wasn't sure how I would manage, but actually it's been fine. Petrol prices, being over-extended and it's a "bad news week"...
I managed to buy petrol at $1.36 a litre this morning. I can't believe this is something to be pleased about, but at the Woollies (Safeway) petrol outlets, petrol was $1.42 before the discount. I'm surprised that petrol prices haven't featured *more* prominently in the election campaign. Due to our cash flow issues, we are out of synch with the " ( Read more... ) -
