What I really like about the new ending is the way it blends with canon. On the show, they had this sweet reunion in the library where it seemed like things would be better between them, but then in the next episode it was back to business as usual. On the show, I think it was sloppy writing, but in your story you've set up a situation where that seems totally plausible--they're just not talking to each other the way they should, and they're disconnected as a result.
One of the things I like more about your fic is the way that you express their feelings, and all the things that are in Veronica´s mind. That dark thing...
Thank you! They're good characters to write because they both either wear their hearts on their sleeves (Logan) or keep them internal (Veronica). I'm enjoying trying to turn that around and ake Veronica more open and Logan more closed. I hope you keep reading!
Thanks for the feedback. I'm glad you like Veronica's epiphany as I wanted to write it in a way that seemed plausible to Veronica as we all know she'd not overly open with her emotions. Next ep will be more about what's going on in that damn Logan Echoll's head!
No! That's bad! I don't want to hurt people... I hope you enjoyed it despite the pain. Keep holding on for the light at the end of the tunnel though, please!
I very much enjoyed it; I'm addicted to this story! I just have this picture of Logan in my head where he is the perfect boyfriend, and so whenever he does something I find stupid, it greatly upsets me.
This was an interesting chapter. I can't tell if that's the end of the Taylor flirtation or not. On one hand, I can't believe she wouldn't ask Logan about what happened at the party, but on the other, I thought for sure that she'd be in the middle of things for a couple more chapters
( ... )
Thanks so much the comment. It's great to get some in-depth feedback. I really struggled with this chapter, but it could have been the potential swine flu I had :-)
The more I write this version the more I dislike the Veronica we got to see in the real S3. You are completely right, the Veronica in S1 and S2 was so much better (apart from the whole Duncan relapse, *shudder*) and it's fun to try and bring her out again.
I know that there's nothing more jarring than hearing a character speak out of turn, so I have tried to keep the British/Australian out of their voices, but where I get it wrong I have an excellent beta to pick me up on it.
