A couple weekends ago I participated in the Davis/Sacramento Go Tournament and came in first in my division, 3-1. A few months ago I finished fourth in the SF quarterly, but I had a few good games against strong players. Dude you are soooo talented!!! Seriously, that is awesome. And I still have very little clue as to what Go is. And no clue what a kyu is. And I don't really want to know. But I do think it's awesome that you're so good at it!!!!

And have fun tonight and tomorrow night (I assume you'll be at the shows?!!??!)

As to kyu, it's just a rank. Weakest is 30kyu, and it goes up to 1kyu, at which point it becomes 1dan and goes up to 9dan. I'm basically a pretty good amateur, but nowhere near the top. I'm good enough that I can more or less appreciate the REALLY good players and what they're doing, but I'm nowhere near to being on par with them. Yet.
