Pain-wise, is the pain of this procedure much different from getting a tattoo? I would assume this is plenty more painful, especially that R and the O part, that looks like pretty deep gashs.

pain wise about the same as the tattoo really, yeah a couple parts were more so, like the R and O but for the most part the emla cream numbed me enough that it took most of the edge off.
