- last night i had a dream that a video was released showing george w. bush in white flowing robes with a giant crown of thorns around his waist like a belt. he was jumping off a tree because he thought he'd be able to fly. then, he turned into a dog and i didn't know if i should be nice to him since i like dogs, or if i should be mean since he's ( Read more... )

Meghan you should come to London and visit me while you are in Europe! A free place to stay in London and super-cheap flights (via Ryan Air). Now WHO would turn that down????

P.S. Remember when I used to beg you to let me smoke you up? This is pretty much as good as that.

I'll keep that in mind! London's on my list of places to go. And a girl should never turn down a free place to stay, except, actually, that may not be the best rule of thumb.

when are you leaving? i would love to come visit you. are you going in blind finding a job, or did you go through a program? that's awesome, im so psyched for you! you'll have fun teaching... it's really hard work, but when you get into some sort of rhythm with your students it's so awesome. you're gonna find yourself speaking VERY slowly with kids trying to learn english. oh man. it can be exhausting to have to find a way to say things that isn't condescending, but at the same time is within their vocabulary. i have these japanese kids in my hiking class who don't speak much english at all and i have to slow all my speech down and try to use really clear words.

if you're in new york at the end of the summer i will definitely try to make it down there.

I'm probably starting my certificate program on the 24th, and it takes about three weeks, so I'm looking at a late august departure. I'm pretty sure that I will become frustrated by the job within a week or so of starting it, but I'm hoping to make it as pleasant an experience as possible by teaching kids instead of adults. either way i'm sure i'll have to prove my patience. please come visit! we'll have to keep an eye out for good airfare. it'd be nice to see you before i leave too.
