I hate being sick! I thought I was getting better and then last night at about 6:30pm...BAM... things hit me like a ton of bricks. I can only sleep in spurts of 20 minutes or so, or less if a coughing fit wakes me up. And since I can't breathe through my nose, my mouth dries out and makes me swallow, which causes me to cough, and the vicious cycle

Excellent:
Starting work on new proton pack
Shipping Christmas gifts off to family
Finding $20 in my pants pocket I didn't know was there
Mastered new song on drums

Not so excellent:
Another z-pack prescription
Noisy inconsiderate neighbors
Local Dunkin opening later in the mornings now

Has anyone had any experience with "Life Alert" or "Lifeline"? (You know, the "I've Fallen and I Can't Get Up" commercial)

Grandma mentioned she wanted something like this but I don't know much about those.... costs, contracts, do they even work right when you need them?

August is such a weird month for me. Something's happening every weekend...and while that's not really a bad thing, when you're a homebody like I am, it can cause stress. Things that made me smile this week:

1) Bike riding on the beach
2) "Turtle" flavored coffee and the mom-n-pop place that was the about the best coffee I ever had...just enough chocolate taste.
3) The two mallards that appeared on the pond behind our house
4) The older guy at the gym who gives me Life Savers any time he sees me
