I've never seen the Kill Bill saga *ducks*. I've wanted to! Does that count?

I have to say the cover for "Skin Trade" makes it look like a good book. I didn't even realize it was a LKH when I saw it.

OMG *cries*

You must watch it! I don't know if it's actually your cup of tea (there's a lot of kitsch, splatter and comic book/pop culture), but even if you don't like that kind of stuff, you can't help admiring the visual of it... :-)

Yes! I'm thrilled that they decided to lay the semi-naked women aside..."neutral" covers are much better!
And seriously the book was good...I'm actually pretty excited about it, I missed "vintage-Anita"! :-)

I love kitsch and splatter :D I'm pretty amazed at myself for not having seen the movies. I feel like a bad Tarantino fangirl or something.

I used to read these books but I gave up when Anita started spending more time in bed than fighting werewolves and vampires etc.
If the next book is any better please let us know - I might start rereading.

Eeeeh, I know what you mean! I've got nothing against sex scenes (everyone knows I'm a perv! *g*), but those books used to have a plot and good characterization...and then suddenly they were all about teh sex...:|

Will do! I so hope she'll keep getting better!

I used to love the Anita Blake books but I stopped reading them after Cerulean Sins. I just couldn't stand the plotlessnessly, bad pseudo-sex scenes that were supposed to be novels. Her writing became bad bad fanfic. It was terrible.
You say the last one was semi-worth reading? Maybe, I'll grab it in paperback. Was there a plot?

It's much, much better than the latest ones! It has a plot and there's basically no sex up until the second half of the book...and it even kinda makes sense plot-wise!!

As I said, there are still a few things here and there that made me cringe a little, and the ending was a bit rushed (imo), but it was a good read and it reminded me of why I used to like that series!

Missed Jean-Claude a lot, tho...but I guess you can't have everything, right? ;-)

I absolutely love those movies....as I said above, there are a lot of kitsch, splatter and comic book/pop culture references, but no matter what your taste is, those movies are visually stunning. :x:x:x
