In honor of David Carradine (rip), during the weekend I re-watched - again - the whole "Kill Bill" saga and...OMG my love for those movies - especially the first - knows no bounds

Agreed so very, very much. They're amazing. They made me want to make movies; I love the idea of a brilliant action film with awesome dialogue. Everything from "Freeze, mommy!" on in the second movie is sheer amazingness. ♥
I am still waiting for the super awesome special DVD release of that movie to come out that was rumored to come out a million years ago which is why I'm not buying the individual discs of Kill Bill. *waits impatiently*
That was my first fandom. I loved the books up to Blue Moon. Then they turned into Anita's Crotch, and the monsters that fuck it. I have never in my life seen a writer who thinks that sex scenes should have 7 pages of deliberations before the second piece of clothing comes off. lol
I know!! It was exactly the same for me...I used to love the first few books, then the series became something I kept reading to see how far she would go with the bad!fic-like plot (plot?) and the bad sex... ;))
Still, I swear the last book is good! There's basically no sex until the second half of the book, and the actual sex kinda makes sense plot-wise! It's still not as good as the vintage-Blake books, and I missed Jean-Claude (which was barely there at all), but I'm optimistic...maybe she's found her mojo back! *hopes*
Other than that...how ARE YOU????
I'm ok, life is BORING...I can't wait for vacation-time (even tho I still don't know what I'll do)...summer ♥
Yeah, me too...I guess I'm not that invested in the series to get particularly bitter and angry when it fails to deliver. Still, I can't deny that this last book was a pleasant surprise (probably because I wasn't expecting anything different from the usual crap) and even tho it's not as good as vintage-Anita, it's still much, much better than the latest ones...and it makes me hopeful for the future books. I guess we'll have to wait and see. ;-)

I know! It's like...when I'm watching some of the most "outrageous" scenes I'm like "man, if I was a director I'd *so* want to be that good!"

Yes!! Although the second movie is a bit sadder and bittersweet compared to the first...still...love. :x:x:x
