Evil iTunes

I'm beginning to really dislike iTunes. For one thing, it really doesn't like me using my own music. It keeps telling me I've authorized all the computers I'm allowed to...when I'm on the computer that bought the music in the first place. Not cool.
I think I remember at one point iTunes told me the same thing, that I had my account on too many computers. I believe there was an option that you could unregister your account off all those computers, and then reregister (or however it works) after. Can't remember where that option is, but maybe see if something like that helps? Otherwise no clue. I only ever use iTunes to buy songs now and then or to organize the stuff on my iPod.

I've seen that option, but when I click the button, nothing happens. Figures. I wonder if my ipod will accept music from windows media player? Somehow I doubt it, but it would make life much easier.

We totally need to find another program to organize our music. I'm willing to use itunes solely for my ipod and then use another program for my actual full music collection that I listen to on my computer. We should ask around.

Right now I'm kinda going for Windows Media Player - you know how annoying it was to gett all that music to play in iTunes? One click in the main folder should put ALL of it in the MP, if I understand it correctly. I'll have to try that, cause this is really annoying. I looked up removing the protected status of the music and it basically said you have burn things onto CDs and then reimport them to the computer - which is stupid. I understand the need for digital rights management, but Amazon never gave me any trouble.
