Monday weirdness

After my whirlwind tour of Ohio, I started my job in Special Collections today. It was quite a relief to do grunt work, lifting boxes and filing things.  Starting Wednesday, Special Collections starts its move to the main library building; at that point, I'll work Monday through Wednesday, 12-5, loading books onto carts. It's a nice change

Oh my gosh! I am so sorry to hear that. Did he suspect anything was wrong? Or did they just accidentally find it? I do hope that he is okay. You are all in my thoughts.

He's been under the weather and had a cough. He's chronicling it here:

which is actually quite funny in spots. Last night, I felt grumpy; this morning, I woke up with a migraine. Once Mark started working on a knot in my neck, the tears started, and after an extended crying jag, I felt quite a release. Having a job with wonderfully mindless tasks to (sort of) focus on helped, too. So, we go on.

Wow. I read the blog and will keep you all in my thoughts. I hope that this goes well for him; though I don't actually know him, he is like an extended acquaintance or something. I wish him the best.
