I have a completed paper to turn in on Tuesday, but other than that, I'm done for the semester. I've got a list of things to do in December, but I'm trying to let myself have some down time before I tackle my December list: work on the MA reading list, review French for the foreign language test, work on my paper for the Appalachian Studies ( Read more... )

Tell me you are going to spread this list over more than just December? Is this the FULL list for the whole program? Or just this month? :<) Mostly I want to edit my own writing and send it out (three books and a screenplay) over break and CLEAN MY F'ING HOUSE. I can't deal with not having totally organized surroundings anymore -- it defocused my mind. We did a big project Saturday night and it made me realize that even HUGE projects are possible, so we want to do a bunch over the break -- Rob is on vacation for three weeks, too.

Good luck with all of your stuff! I still have a lot of writing to do this week.

This is the full list for the program--the list for the comprehensive exam at the end of the two-year program--what I'll be expected to answer questions about during my oral exams. It will be helpful, too, for next fall, when I take the subject-specific GRE. I'm pacing myself, and looking forward to the salons that are planned for December to work on this in groups.

The last few days, I have really been enjoying cleaning the apartment and clearing things out. It feels great!
