I am home, fed,and bathed.  What a weekend!

Thursday morning, the rental car people picked me up at 8:30; I was on the road by nine.  There's really no direct route between here and Portsmouth, Ohio; Mark did a lovely job of tracing me out a route.  It took me five hours to get there; it's right next to the river on the Ohio side, in Southeastern ( Read more... )

Yay for you!!!! I am so glad that it went so well -- it sounds really exciting! Frank X. Walker is in residence at NKU right now -- I've hung out with him a few times, as he helped us get our graduate association together in the beginning. I've also heard him read poetry several times (it is quite engaging) and he spoke at Danny Miller's memorial service. Ironically, I've also been reading about ecofeminism, in the context of Native American Literature.

And how exciting to have ANOTHER conference to attend so soon!!!! That just sounds like such a fun time to me -- I very much look forward to doing similar things, hopefully next "conference season," as this one is just bad timing for me. I am glad that it was such a positive experience; maybe someday we will be presenting at the same conference -- that would be fun!!!
