As you can see, I stopped LJing in 2008. A combination of law school and the evolution of Web 2.0 led me astray. I still participate generally in vaginapagina and iud_divas.

With the exception of listening to my workout mix at the gym, I haven't listened to anyone but Bon Iver in weeks. Justin Vernon is captivating, intensely melodic, and just the right amount emotional. I can't turn away from it; I tried listening to the new Uh Huh Her CD and the immense amounts of Tilly and the Wall that I've downloaded but I can't. ( Read more... )

My two favorite art mediums are ceramics and photography, ceramics for the way producing art makes me feel, and photography for its ability to stir aesthetic emotions. It's a really wonderful thing that I'm moving in two weeks because we now have asshole neighbors next to AND above us. The people upstairs wear heels constantly and listen to untalented "musicians" all day. The people next to us chain smoke on their porch so that the fumes waft into our bedroom. There is a decomposing monster on Gawker that all of the webgeeks have been trying to decipher for the past 24 hours. It washed ashore in Montauk earlier today.
