Yo -- I'm writing a paper on social networking on LJ and I was wondering if any of you had any stories you wouldn't mind me sharing in my paper
( Read more... )
1. No, definitely not. 2. Absolutely not. I hate those people (well, the drama ones anyway). 3. Personal writing that I can't do elsewhere and sharing details with friends. 4. Yes 5. No 6. No, I'm definitely exactly the same (at least I think so).
By the way, have you ever helped someone from LJ find a job, place to live, move, get to the airport, etc? Or has anyone from here been able to help you with something like that?
The first community I ever joined was a Cat Macro community. I made a macro pic of my cat and posted it, and I did it wrong and got flamed, and kicked out of the community. It was a bunch of immature brats running it.
The 2nd community I joined was "To Make A Baby" and it was for people who are Trying To Conceive (TTC). I made friends with some of the members, however, the community itself is pretty much dead. No one posts in that community.
I also joined a community for Bento Lunches. I think Bento is so cute, and I loved seeing the pictures of the neat little lunches people pack. I think that one died as well.
I cannot remember the other communities at this time.
1. I'm not a leader here, but I am a leader in real life. :) Here is where I can come to actually follow. 2. Not so much. My LJ is more for me, and quite often it's others giving *me* advice instead. 3. To write out all of my thoughts for the moment/day. Helps me to clear my head. 4. All of my LJ friends were people I knew, but because we all blog it has made us closer. 5. No. 6. Nah, I'm the same here and in real life. 7. No 8. yes 9. Yes 10. No 11. Personal stories, sometimes stories of other people that have affected me, and my ideas and thoughts of those things 12. At first it kinda "didn't matter", but I did later find that some of the entries have helped greatly. 13. Amazingly enough, all of my LJ friends are indeed friends of mine. I am one of those who takes such a word seriously, so I suppose I don't just add anyone to my list.

What kind of communities have you used? How do you use them?
