That's a fantastic cake - it's much clearer here than in the photo being wobbled about in front of the webcam! (But then, I'm impressed by anything anyone can make in the kitchen with all their fingers intact at the end and without the oven killing itself.) What were the blocks made out of?
I remember wondering why there was "Lines - 24" specifically, at the top, before realizing that that's now how old my younger brother is D:
The blocks are made out pre-coloured modelling icing, which is why they're so vibrant, although the orange and the red are both their respective colours painted on to the yellow icing. You only need a knife to make them, they're nice and simple.
It's missing the square blocks since I couldn't work out what other colour I could make easily, and then I accidentally spilt the blue food colouring in a way which made it go all over the kitchen table and Mum's top and me. It came out of everything fine, but I only noticed the next day that my feet had blue spots. Anyway the food colouring got the squares which Richard had painstakingly cut out so he wasn't too pleased, but I don't think there would have been room for them on the cake anyway! xxx
