So it was Jamie's birthday last weekend, so I headed home from my summer project abode (Albany Park) up to Inverurie for the weekend.

Summer
Well, I'm in Cheltenham, which I suppose has become the norm for my summer holidays. I'm constantly disorganised, which is starting to be a problem as my summer project in St Andrews begins next week and I have no idea how I am getting my stuff there, or how I am getting my stuff from home to there so I can live. Easter was my first big event away from home and with just Ally, and I was determined to do it right. Issues
I've had a weekend of staring at R. Not that I don't love R - I won't hear a word against it, it does everything I need - but I think I've had enough for a while. My project is nearly complete, which is good, because the next one comes out in 3 days ( Read more... ) -
Project R: Number 1
Estimating Animal Abundance makes my brain hurt. Although the lecture material is relatively simple, the practicals have blown away my expectations of a nice, easy course. Instead, I spend hours staring at R, convinced there must be a simpler way of doing things, but eventually using the tried and tested brute force method to get what I want ( Read more... ) -
