well, you could decide to give phoebe 'the silent treatment' for the next few days, but that would mean you would have to expend precious mental energy on being pouty and angry.

So, I see the difference between guys and girls being that girls find spending this mental energy on getting themselves worked up as very worth the effort, in fact, it is 'pick-at-the-scab' satisfying. A guy, however, doesn't like to use up energy he doesn't need to on thinking (broad stereotype, but hey, who likes spending energy they don't need to. :P)
