so, finals are over. thank god. thats the good thing. now i have some time to sleep and not worry about school. i am looking forward to next semster, tho. anyway, right now im stuck at home most of the time b/c my mom had back surgery about a week and a half ago and she's laid up til well into january. im taking care of her and my brother is ( ( Read more... ) -

as if losing one grandparent in 2 1/2 weeks wasnt enough... my grandmama had been seriously ill for about a month, and she passed away today at about 5pm. we think she kind of gave up. she went peacefully, tho, in a coma. just like my grandaddy did on september 13th ( Read more... ) -

its been awhile
okay, so its been maybe 3.5 weeks since i've updated. i've been working at the Tara, i pretty much enjoy it so far. i've seen parts of really good movies and caught on to procedure a little quicker than i thought i would. im pretty comfortable there by now, but still feel like the new kid. thats okay, tho, b/c i can still accidentally mess up and ( Read more... ) -

so the summer science camp job was tiring but a lot of fun. i've never really played the role of "authority figure" before, so that was an interesting experience. i learned a lot and got to see the moon, mercury, venus, saturn, jupiter w/ 4 moons, and the m-13 star cluster through the second largest telescope in the state (or was it the region?). finally some good fucking news worth posting!
Okay, so I finally got a job. I'm going to be a camp counselor at the Sally Ride Summer Science Camp for girls hosted by Agnes Scott College, where my mom works and is taking classes.
