Made a discovery into why no one is reading my journal anymore.... I think I accidentally had it set to block most everyone out except for like 2 or 3 people. For all those excluded, very sorry. Everything should be unlocked to all people on my friends list at this moment I beleive. If not, comment on this entry (it will be public for a while ( Read more... )

hahaha I just figured I was blocked on purpose (and I could only tell 'cause some entries I had already read disappeared...this was ages ago).

I totally screwed things up. I starting joining communities galore and I did not want them reading my journal. So made this special list and then realized today that I only had like three people on it when I should have like 13. No idea how I effed that one up. No idea how long I have had everyone blocked.

I don't think your communities can read your friend-locked entries in general, but then i could've read that wrong about a million years ago. I have quite a few of them now myself 'cause not a lot of my actual friends write entries anymore. I really just don't want anyone from work or people I might piss off to read up on my bidness.

I can't post to this entry!! :P How is that supposed to work again? Kidding. It all seems to work now.

I was wondering why things were so quiet for so long... nice animal pics by the way.

My recommendation: only do three types of entry: public, friends only, and private. If you try and separate the friends into groups it's a real headache and some people embarrass themselves by doing it wrong. Only downside to my way is a lot of people are probably bored by all my random entries that don't relate to them (I share different hobbies with all my different friends). The way I figure it, if people don't care about a particular entry, they can just skip over it, no big deal.

I discovered this today. Somehow though, I thought you were on the accidental block list post your sn change, but I found comments from you on stuff that you shouldn't have been able to read because you were only on the list under omniholis. Yeah, no more experimenting with LJ privacy crap.

Weird. I dunno. I guess maybe I have the same cookies/IP address and so it doesn't know the difference? I am pretty sure LJ goofed big time a while back and it messed up my cookies pretty severely (I was getting gmail for my omnihilos account in my krenton-only mailbox! or maybe it was the other way around... not sure), so that's probably what it was. I ended up having to change my browser settings just to get LJ to work :|

I still use it, though. It might be buggy, but it's free, and it usually works well enough.
