Some professions attract sadists. I applied for most of them myself but didn't have the gleevil needed to make it in any of the hands-on fields, so I landed where I am.

1 Rx ibuprofen is 800mg, or 4 of the OTC 200mg ones. In chronic pain some people use 3 or 4 per day, so if your liver is ok don't be afraid to use 16/day of the OTC pills short-term, if it helps. I wouldn't combine that with alcohol, though that's more of an issue with acetaminophen.

I usually take 800mg a day just to start. I have given myself kidney stones taking 12 Advil at a time 3xs a day. High pain tolerances suck.
