That's a hell of a lot deeper than most people dare to write about on LJ.
I think we all have that phase in out lives where we do some royally fucked up shit simply because we don't care. Maybe we think "Oh it'll never happen to me." or you like you said, depressed and don't really give a shit.
It's very cool to see you can look back on who you were and who you are now without any sort of rose tinting or curmudgeony rememberance.
Oddly enough I saw this the second I finished a look back at my teenage years post in my own journal. OOOOOOEEEEEEOOOOOO! :-P
One of the great things about following this journal is the tremendous contrast that appears once in a while. We follow your daily (sort of) life and chuckle with you through your adversities in a rather light-hearted fashion. Then, almost when we're not paying attention we get sideswiped by powerful narrative. It's lovely.
