Christmas has come and gone and I'm hoping to head back home tomorrow. My secret to not gaining an ounce (and actually losing weight) this holiday season: the flu. Okay, ABC's new show looks awesome (and, yes, I'me being totally prejudice because Bryan Fuller is the creator). Oh, I have hopes. Also, worries, since it looks even quirkier than Fueller's other series which did not last long at all (if "Dead Like Me" had been on a major network it probably wouldn't have made it past ten episodes)

So we just got back from watching Eastern Promises (unbelievable, Oscars had better be awarded) and I hopped onto Flickster to arte. While there, I looked at the recent reviews and saw:

In recent blog entry Kate Harding and her readers discussed dieting as it relates/impedes fat acceptance. A few sentences leaped out at me.

I do not believe you can truly be a fat acceptance activist and support dieting any more than you can be a liberal activist and support Bush. I believe the two are simply irreconcilable ( Read more... )
