The word on the street is that our album is exceeding Smithsonian Folkways expectations, and is selling well. This is truly very bon indeed! Now there is chatter about a joint CD launch (finally) with the Alberta album people....the Alberta album features some awesome artists, so a joint launch might mean I can discuss the quality of the wine and ( Read more... )

That is exciting news, both about the CD and the library job. Can you talk about what sort of library job it is? And I don't remember if you ever said in any of your previous posts, but if we wanted to purchase said CD, how would we go about doing it?

Word, Violette. Welcome back from your big trip, and traumatic travel experiences.

If I get the job, I will talk about it, but I am very superstitious and don't want to jinx it (maybe I already have!) - anyway, it is about as low on the totem pole as you can get and still get paid, but it is great experience and it looks like fun.

The CD is actually available at HMV for about $11 (too cheap! but that is HMV for you). Or you can go to the Smithsonian Folkways website and order it from there - it's more expensive though. It is called "Classic Canadian Songs" and it is blue with a family of hockey players on it.
