Around now, RJC grads of 2007 will be driving home with their parents, sad and sleepy, after staying up all night signing yearbooks and saying goodbye to friends at Fireside. When we were told it would rain on Sunday, no one mentioned it would be a FLASH FLOOD. Seriously. And then we learn, oh, actually, the gutters on the back of the house do, in fact, need to be fixed so that they slope away from the house. There is rarely ever a boring day since being back in Saskamatoon, and today, though it is only about 8:20 am, is no exception. So, last Wednesday I had an event with a local newspaper personality, to launch his new book. His book is basically a history told from the Cree perspective, from the creation stories up til...I don't know, I haven't read the book yet.
