Well, Peoples. Well. It is true that I was not hired by EPL. I got the letter yesterday. They were impressed by my mad skillz, etc, but someone else fit the job a bit better. C'est la vie and all that. Thanks for coming out.

a) I totally hear you about the time off. I've been feeling vaguely guilty about having a rather lazy and unproductive summer, but on the other hand...UGH. I think I needed it also.
b) I can now DRIVE. :) (and I know what you mean about the guilt free thing. It is so nice to have the dissertation ball and chain attached when you go out, don't you think?)
c) Ditto, I guess. Hopefully being sessional slave this year will get me some good contacts and references for the JOB SEARCH 2.0 this fall.
d) What kinda casserole? Would Bugman like it?
e) You are definitely neither alone nor a freak, even though you do live in Boomtown Alberta. Seems like all the jobs there are either in construction, oil or food services, anyway. Not exactly up your alley.
f) You seriously need to rent the movie Clockwatchers. Now!!!!!

Does Bugman appreciate sausage? Spice? Then yes. But aren't you vegetarian, or am I completely off base?

Definitely need to see Clockwatchers - if only because I Lurrrrve Parker Posey and Toni Collette (and Office Space, which it seems to be compared to alot).

Someday, when we are seriously, long-term employed, we will be able to look back on this and laaaaaaaugh.
