I'm trying to find a pumpkin patch to visit. I never did as a kid. It's kind of funny to think about, because I can imagine my immigrant parents wondering why I would want to go all the way out to the country when I could get one up the road at the grocery store ( Read more... )

I'm double checking the website and there are other things to do, but most of them aren't things Bug would like.

The price includes access to the entire farm, but it's things that Bug won't be into (like corn mazes that aren't preschooler size). I think there are hayrides, too, but I don't feel like that's ample compensation for the admission fee!

Crazy. I'm going to grow pumpkins next year so I don't have to deal with this bullshit. Hahaha. Ours are all kind of far away, so we may not go. We bought one pumpkin and my son refused to get messy.

There is one in Brampton (YUCK) that I was planning on taking Jessica to next week. Wait, funny story... I'm driving closer to a built up area to go to a pumpkin patch and you're driving further away from it (right?). Ha. Anyways, it's $11/person on the weekend plus the pumpkins. BUT, weekday its only $5.50. We are going to do it because there is a corn maze, the pumpkin patch, wagon rides and a bunch of little things that J will get a kick out of. Maybe there is a local one for you that offers a better weekday rate?

HA. Okay, I don't want to laugh at you but I cannot get over my hatred for my local OEYC. Screw that noise. It's such a clique! Sorry your new local one sucks ass. That just plain stinks!

I am driving further from a more built up area! I'll have to go about 20 minutes. What about you?
I've had really good luck with the OEYC until today. Whatever. I bet she's just mad because I'm cuter than she is.

I think there are hayrides at this place, but close to $40 for that and a pumpkin is still way more than I'm willing to spend.
