Oh my god! IT'S YOU! I sort of just followed this link from somewhere...the alanrickman community, and then saw it was YOU! OH MY GOD! YES! YOU MET ALAN RICKMAN!!
INSANELY JEALOUS right now. You got an autograph AND picture! YAY! I need to head over to your Flickr to see all this!
I am so, so happy for you, even though I am still insanely jealous. It's difficult getting to have great experiences like this. I had this kind of experience once for David in The TV Set, and the crowd just kind of swarmed David Duchovny, and so I decided not to go o up to him that time. But this whole experience sounded like everyone got what they wanted :D That's really a rare opportunity.
Your response just cracked me up. It's like your thought process spilled onto LJ. :) So I will say Yes... yes it's me. ;)
Yeah, it was pretty amazing I have to say. You have no idea how annoyed my friend and I didn't have the DSLR's with us. We would have had some great shots, since we were so close. Argh!
And I most definitely agree this is a rare kind of opportunity... Plus AR made himself so accessible. Not a whole lot of people would do this.
I saw Duchovny also at a screening of the TV Set and while he walked through the audience and posed for pictures it was not like this. This was a smaller theater and a much more intimate setting, plus AR stayed for everyone! I wish we had hung out for longer outside too. Not that I would have been able to speak, but I could have just admired the view. :D
I'm going to try and post the picture that I got signed too. :) Plus I think he may have marked my arm with the sharpee... unless someone else did it. I noticed a line on my arm this morning! LMAO!!
That was a great story! I would have loved to have been able to go! I agree Teh Man seems larger than life when you are right in front of him. We short people have to stick together! ( I'm 5'3", how short are you?) Take heart, remember his companion, Rima, is teeny-tiny, so he is used to looking down!
Yes, I'm on the left in the photo. (Alan's right) The young lady is actress Megan Dodds, who played Rachel Corrie, NYC Oct. '06. My account is in my livejournal archive, Oct '06. My friend Kathy and I spoke to Alan three times and once he approached and spoke to us! The journal explains how it all happened.
