Equus, Stargate Atlantis, and birthdays...

After having purchased the tickets in April spellingwitch and I saw Equus last night.  She'd seen it September, but I had not been at that performance.  Well I've been slightly spoiled for this play after reading and seeing various things about it, so I wasn't terribly shocked by anything, but it was still a very intense play with disturbing and sad aspects to ( Read more... )

I hope you get your autographs!

I love Kate Mulgrew, and I still remember the first show I ever saw her in - the soap opera Ryan's Hope! I recall watching the first episode of it because I was out of school for summer vacation and my sister and I got hooked on it. I was fascinated by Mulgrew's voice. I just looked it up on IMDB and that was 1975 - I was 15.

I remember her on Ryan's Hope! I didn't really watch the show, but I guess someone used to have it on or it was on after something else I watched. It must have been later than 1975 though because I was too little then. According to IMDB she was on the show into the eighties, so maybe I saw her around then.

I know her from Star Trek mostly, even though I'm not a fan of the show she was on. I've seen her at conventions and she's got amazing stage presence even in a setting like that. Too bad I don't think I'll get her autograph. She didn't come out of the stage door. We think she comes out of a different exit.

I'm hoping for Dan or Richard Griffiths though. We'll have to try and figure out a way to make it happen. ;)

Ugh, SO jealous you saw the play. I was sorta thinking about going up to NY just to see it, but, alas, not a very good financial decision. :D

I hope you get autographs!!

Yeah, that's a long trip for you after having just gotten back from China and all!! :D Welcome home, btw. :)

I added some pictures to the entry, also. Nothing spectacular, but not much one can do at night with a point and shoot from across the street.
