[She had to be dreaming. Had to be, except for the distinct sense of waking up that started Amelia's adventure into--wherever she was. Down in the dark had been bad enough; on some cot, surrounded by strangers, with the entire place wobbling worse than any Sand Steamer she'd ever been on. But then she'd gone up, out into the sunlight--
And saw something she couldn't begin to describe.
Water. More than she'd ever seen in her life, stretching out into the horizon and beyond. Enough for a whole city, or maybe the whole planet, just there, right in front of her. It couldn't be real.]
[Right. The last part? That was the part that Amelia knew was coming. Even if she couldn't understand the words, some things were clear in any language.]
[As clueless as she was, Amelia still recognized when someone was being disgustingly fliratious with her. Despite coming from a female, the comment was more than enough to snap Amelia from her awe.]
And saw something she couldn't begin to describe.

What in the world is going on?

Dangerous...or just all sorts of crazy.

[Amelia started to slide the gun at her side out of its holster.] If something bad does happen, can you handle yours--
[The question cut off abruptly as Amelia took a good look at what should have been her shotgun, but clearly wasn't.]
...Don't tell me someone stole my gun.

Ain't that it, right there?

[She starts looking over the weapon, grabbing hold of the beads attached to the handle.]
This part is mine, but everything else is wrong! This is ancient!

...It's possible it's goin' along with this place movin' us all to ships. It mighta just...changed it a little.

[It does explain why the beading is the same. But still.]
But why? And how am I supposed to even load this thing?

[Amelia shakes her head before putting the gun back. It's better than nothing--maybe.]
Anyway. If something happens, can you defend yourself?
