Hello everyone. I hope you're all doing well.

I was wondering if anyone would like to hear some fairy tales from my world, for some fun. Or if you'd like to share any! I do love a good story.

[and for anyone who wants to go 'giant talking mouse wtf', the action option means she's currently in the library, sitting comfortably while flipping ( Read more... )

Fairy tales? You mean like Snow White and Sleeping Beauty?

Oh, we've got all those back home too! And then in Japan we've also got stuff like Kaguyahime as well.

Oh... well... it's kinda a bit more like a legend but uh, let's see if I can remember all this correctly ( ... )

Ooooh... what a sad story...

I guess it kinda is. I think it's better than the Celestial Maiden who up and left her kids and husband the instant she got her heavenly robe back though.

...but you know... when you think about it, it's kinda like life in the castle, isn't it?

Like life in the castle? What do you mean?

Well like...

Like Kaguyahime, none of us are here because we want to be, right? Even if you end up liking it, none of us asked to come here. But we're here for whatever reason and we have to make do and live. And we make friends while we're here and some even fall in love. But most people want to go home right? [not him but that's beside the point]

And then someone does get sent home and all their friends are upset but... well you know they're probably happier back in their world where they belong, y'know?

That is true... and it does connect to the story.

That's very insightful of you.

[it's said in a sad way, but she does mean well.]

Oh... haha, thanks...

I don't know though, I really kinda like stories with bittersweet or sad endings. Like when the Little Mermaid kills herself...

What?! The little mermaid... that's terrible! That's not what happens at all!

She gets to be a human and marries the prince and they all live happily ever after!

Oh... don't tell me you're one of the ones who never read the original version and only saw the modern happy ending movie version...? [OOPS...]

That is the original version. Whatever a 'movie' is, they got it all wrong.

Er... no, it's definitely not. If you want, you should try looking for it in the library, they'll probably have it.

I'm in the library already, looking up new stories.

And why would anyone want such an awful ending? All fairy tales are supposed to end with 'happily ever after'.
