[He's spent too long fighting for his life to run away from sounds of rampant destruction like most sane people would do. Instead he runs towards it, grabbing a sturdy looking chair on the way as a weapon.]
[What's going on here? A glowing robot girl furiously knocking shelves over in the library, how about that? THE BOOKS, THEY'RE EVERYWHERE. But a cadre of ghosts is already cleaning up the mess, much to her chagrin, and new problems keep cropping up everywhere she looks. For instance:
Problem 1: There is a large table here that Aradia does not like. Problem 2: There is an annoying loud human nearby.
Solution: Fling both halves of table at human. Look out, Kanji!]
[He dodges and is clipped by the table because his speed sucks. It doesn't seem to phase him much, though. He stumbles a little and winces, but that's it. He is a tank; taking hits and hitting back harder is what he exists for. However, he's not fighting yet, since robot girl is talking.]
No shit. Of course it ain't working. Now calm the hell down before I've gotta do something drastic here! Last chance before I pound you!
[Or get pounded, as the case may be, but he's not considering that a possibility yet.]
[It's as much a warning as it is a threat. Aradia snaps off a chunk of the circulation desk's marble countertop like it's a Kit Kat bar, and brings it to bear above her head.]
Hell no! I ain't leavin' until you freakin' quit destroying shit!
[He raises the chair but he isn't after the robot, oh no. He's trying to summon his Persona--and as luck would have it, he happens to still have his powers. Nice. So cue a floaty-glowy card appearing in front of his face to be smashed. It summons a giant robot-like samurai monster from his soul with a pretty impressive light show.]
Go Rokuten Maoh!
[And he sends it after Aradia with intent to attack physically--if it connects it will probably pack quite a punch (well, sword). But the price he pays for using it is a drain on his own health.]
[Okay, so summoning a large mustachioed robot was not high on the list of things Aradia expected Kanji to do. She only has time to think something along the lines of "that's interesting" before Rokuten Maoh is within striking distance. She quickly interposes the slab of marble between herself and the robot as a shield, but it's probably either cracked or straight-up cleaved in two after that attack.
That's quite interesting. Unfortunately though it just makes her angrier.]
[Probably cut in half, because that's how Kanji and Rokuten Maoh roll, being post game and all. Kanji growls and sacrifices more of his health to send his Persona in for another attack. He can only do this a couple more times, he knows, but hopefully it'll be enough to at least slow her down a lot.]
[Well that's not good, Aradia is not too keen on being bisected! Discarding the counter, she turns the full force of her telekinesis on Rokuchan Rokuten itself, trying to stop its attack at the very least, or to push it backwards if she can.]
[What hits his Persona hurts him, so the giant goes stumbling back and so does Kanji. Ow, that did some damage. Screw it. He'll attack from a distance then. With lightning!]
Shit! Ziodyne!
[But, his magic stat is basically in the gutter, so it's only likely to do serious damage to things that have a weakness to electricity, if it hits at all.]

[Considering that Aradia is a robot and made of metal, though, she is basically a lightning rod. OW, FUCK. A couple of key primary systems short out, and there's a moment where she thinks she might shut off completely - but no, Equius built this body to take a hell of a beating, and a hell of a beating it will certainly take.
That still hurt like the devilfucking dickens though. If... if robots feel pain, anyway. Do robots feel pain? Whatever.Okay yeah the Persona's gotta go. She did have time to notice his reaction, if it wasn't already obvious that he and it are connected. Fortunately, libraries are often decorated with bits of statuary, such as one she knocked over earlier - a statue of some guy with weird arms and a conveniently sharp, conical hat
( ... )
poor Kanji... this is going to hurt.punk_emperorDecember 6 2011, 06:31:43 UTC
[Kanji is a tank; he's made to take beatings so he knows she's gonna hit him with that statue but he doesn't actually think much of it. He's only got off two Primal Forces, and the two other hits weren't awful at all, so his health is pretty decent. Not high enough that he'd risk another PF without a healer, but high enough that he doesn't think he's in any danger of ending up in the red from a single hit, so to speak.
Which is going to suck for him in a minute. Out comes the Persona.]
Ziod--
[OW FUCK OW. There's no impaling, because he's tough as nails, but it impacts hard enough to send his health right into the red and do some lasting physical damage. He keels over, holding his chest and mutters "rakukaja" instead. Because he doesn't actually want to die, but he needs a healer and back-up, so he's hoping the upped defense will cover him as he beats a quick retreat. He is so going to see if the Castle will let him wish up healing items after this.]
You stay right there, dammit! I'm gonna be back and take you do--shit. Ow.
[Oh okay good that actually worked! Aradia doesn't press her attack as he retreats, just stares after him. Her head twitches sideways as an errant spark flies from a neck joint, though. Congratulations Kanji, you have done significant damage! 8D
... So yeah, she's not gonna stick around long enough for him to come back. She's got a lot of castle to destroy and that fight just burned through a nasty chunk of her time and structural integrity. As soon as Kanji's out of visual range she heads out a window.]
What the hell is going on here?!
