[Carson had been against the restraints, but there was nothing he could really do about it. He hears Maine calling out and sets what he's doing down and walks over from where he was in the clinic]
Oh, you're awake. Good to see. How're you feeling?
Like shit. [Although it was more from the now unlocked memories then anything else. His road rash isn't helping, though.]
[He looks over and pauses a moment, regarding Carson carefully. He gives the restraints a yank and raises his eyebrows meaningfully. Let a man out, yeah?]
[Carson, meanwhile, is busy with a small, handheld device. He's running it up and down Maine's body, like in some sort of Star Trek show.]
Well, everything seems to be mostly fine. Some abraisons healing, no doubt from when you crashed, and your internal wounds are healing nicely. Some nutrient deficiencies, probably from the time when you've been in a coma.
[He motions to the IV] That's what's been keeping you alive, actually.
[He then turns and makes some notes on his clipboard. If Maine can see then he may realise that it seems to be in an odd language.]
[His tone's blunt and raspy as normal, but definitely with a note of reservation. The longer he's awake, the more he's remembering, to varying degrees of clarity.
Action! - Sorry I'm late to this. :cyoufallbackJanuary 5 2012, 12:07:56 UTC
[The sound of Maine talking instead of going back to growls fills her both with dread and some slight hope. Regardless, there's not a second of hesitation before she heads down to the clinic.]
[Well that's the first sign that he's hopefully not about to try and dig into her skull for AI that she doesn't have. So, she quickly moves to stand next to his bed.] What's the last thing you remember?
[He's quiet for a moment, picking distractedly at the sheets. Right now the last thing you remember could fall into about three different categories. He tries to sum it all up in as few words as possible.]

[Ah, IV, his old nemesis. He growls slightly at that. At least he was unconscious for any other needlings.]

Uh ... [Nope, he has no words.]

Can't move. [If she wants to find him, she'll have a captive audience.]

So you're up?
[Huh. Talk about his timing.]

There's a passing glance over his shoulder at the hallway, though, before Rookie finally shakes his head and steps in.]

Maine. [This'll be the real test, now won't it.]

[And he's not lunging, or growling, or attacking. He does look a little confused, and he's seriously hoping maybe she will let him loose.]
