6:10 p.m. - Neal Caffrey date

The shoji screen door slides open, and Yamada enters. She takes a seat at one side of the table, huddling her feet beneath the elegant kotatsu covering. The schoolgirl is dressed in a violet kimono with floral patterns, with a matching barrette in her hair. Once she is settled, she poises her hands delicately in front of her, so as to discreetly afford her a view of her wristwatch, which is now reading ten after six. Neal should be arriving any moment now.

Neal arrives exactly on time, thanks to a reluctant, but helpful Mindy. He knows that this isn't Mindy's favorite activity when it comes to Neal, but she's also eleven, so he can't really say he blames her. He will make up to her, one way or the other.

He adjusts his suit, before making his way into the room, and giving Yamada a smile, before moving to sit across from her. "You look lovely," he says as he sits.

She smiles graciously. "You look nice as well, Neal. Did you have any trouble finding the restaurant?"

[OOC: Is Mindy with Neal, or is he here alone?]

[He's in the room alone, Mindy's waiting outside.]

He shakes his head. "Not at all. It was relatively easy to get through."

"I get the impression that you go to fancy places like this often. Is that true?"

"Back home in New York," he nodded, settling into his seat more. "I do like to cook for myself, but I enjoy going out as well."

"It's good to cook for yourself once in a while, even if you can afford to go out. I think there's something about homemade food that you never really get at a restaurant." She considers that for a moment. "Love. Yeah, that's the secret ingredient!"

"Love is definitely up there. And homemade food has it's own feel to it, really."

This surprises Yamada. "Oh? How do you mean?"

[OOC: Sorry I didn't notice your tag until now!]

[Totally cool. It happens.]

"You can just tell when someone's put effort into something," he replied with a shrug. "It's different -- at least emotionally speaking."

"That's true..." Resuming her pose from a few minutes ago and glancing secretly at her watch, Yamada realizes it's time for her date with Steve Rogers.

"...Hey, I need to go freshen up. I'll be back in a little bit. Don't order without me, okay? <3"

He nodded as he watched her get up. "I wouldn't dream of it. Take your time."

Yamada returns a few minutes later, smiling as though nothing has happened (she had just begun her simultaneous date with Steve and resumed the one with Barney). Noticing that a waitress has appeared, dressed in a simple kimono, Yamada quickly returns to her seat aand orders the spicy crab.

Neal ordered something simple before turning back to her. "Everything okay?"

"Yep! I may need to step out again later, though." Well, things didn't work out with Steve. But I've still got two people in prime condition to take my virginity tonight, and those are good odds!

"So, tell me more about the world you come from. What did you do for a living, for example?"

"I'm a consultant for the FBI," he said with a nod. "They're a branch of law enforcement."
