I recently re-read Paradise Kiss (I still love it so much, after all these years... *____*), and for the first time, Yukari's relationships bothered me.
Parakiss is so bittersweet - that's why I love it so.
In my head, Yukari and Tokumori crushed on each other and then married and fell in love with each other gradually. They weren't starcrossed lovers but I think something real formed between them eventually. Or maybe, I'm just a hopeless romantic!
I think that the tumultuousness of Yukari and George's relationship gave her the wisdom to be more realistic and settle for something more lasting with Tokumori.
We don't really get to see their "courtship" but I always thought it would be a sort of steady thing like this- they come to realize how much they care for one another over time, and that they fit together well as a couple. As much fun as passionate whirlwind romances are to read about, they're not necessarily the best or most lasting ones in real life. XD;

I mean, people do get over their first loves, after all.
