These writings of mine are both based on Amber's novella, "A Tremor in Utopia". The first is a parody filled with cliches, which hardly follows her plot. The second is an alternate look -my look- at a scene she plans to post in the future:

The prophesized battle-cliched parody )

Er, I wanted to mention something. I noticed the 'loathe mine existence' thing. *Normally* Shas does not hate his life--though I see how his comment to Aijel could be misleading. By the comment about birth, he wasn't saying that he hated being alive, he was saying that he hated the pain and terror of being pushed from the womb (yes, he remembers it) and he hates the dependancy involved with having such a link to another person--which explains the 'because it was thee who gave birth to me' comment.
Sorry if I confused you, though, as Shas really isn't the self-hating type....
most of the time, that is.

I suppose I can just cover my ass and say this was one of his few self hating moments, especially considering what had just happened. You know, he had a crush on Perjautse, and he felt betrayed by him. Then again, it was probably mostly anger he felt. Besides, no one else who reads this even knows about that. So I guess it'd be a cheap and unrealistic ass covering XP
