Finally I find somewhere that I have people I can relate with. I have been a member of LJ for a few years but never thought to look here for any other partners of TGs. I joined this community a few days ago but wasn't able to dredge up enough energy to put up a post until now ( Read more... )

My long time best friend and I became lovers and the transition went pretty smoothly, she was not TG but probably should have been. She would probably have been happier had she known this option was available to her, unfortunately we never got the chance to explore that facit of her life, she died suddenly six months after we became lovers. She was my first lesbian relationship ( ... )

I too am disabled and constantly find myself in the role of caregiver, often neglecting my own needs, but I have reached a balance in my life (sometimes precarious), that generally keeps me afloat. Again, feel free to contact me. Oh, by the way, my name is Niki...

Hey Niki, nice to meet you. I know that faster is definitely better then slow due to the depression of being in the wrong body. I can't stand the pain that my partner is in and hopefully now that he has had his top surgery he can come to like his chest once it heals. He was very physical when he was young until he(she) hit puberty. Now he is going to a personal trainer and is becoming very strong. This is exciting yet very scary for me due to my physical limitations. I see how happy he is and he does want to do things, like karate, kick boxing, things that I can be his personal cheer leader, but he will still do a lot of physical things to keep his exercise up, like bike riding and other sports. I just have to deal with my physical insecurities. I am planning on getting back into physical therapy to at least get somewhat stronger ( ... )
